June 11th - MOVIE UNDER THE STARS - help with planning, settin-up, running the event, and/or taking down and cleaning up after the event. A fun fan favourite summer event in Banff -- PLANNING/BEFORE EVENT: We need help with promoting the event with posters/emails to community contacts, setting-up the equipment, tables, BBQ and other items at the site on the day of the movie. TIME: set-up before event 3pm - 7pm DURING EVENT: We'll need approximately 8-12 volunteers to assist during the event. We'll be handing out condoms, lube, bug spray and running a concession/bbq, helping with cleanup, running to get supplies as needed, and making sure people aren't drinking alcohol (dry -event). TIME: 7:00pm - 11pm AFTER EVENT: Help tear down the site and clean-up :-) TIME: 11pm - midnight
June 13th - Canmore Mountain Grannies 1st Annual National Walk - fundraiser for Stephen Lewis Foundation -- Help with Henna Tattoos/Face painting and distributing information on HIV/AIDS in Canada TIME: 10am - 2pm
June 14th - Welcome Week Information Session at Wild Bill's in Banff - Set up table display, promote AIDS Bow Valley events, volunteer program, and key messaging around prevention of STIs, HIV/AIDS and where to go for testing TIME: 5:30pm - 8:30pm (Dinner included!)
June 16th - Be BARE Aware Campaign Night at BanffLIFE Pasta Night - present information on STIs, HIV/AIDS, where to go for testing, how to protect oneself from increasing "bare" encounters :P TIME: 5:45pm - 8:30pm
June 30th - Banff Springs Hotel Health & Wellness Fair - set up table display to promote AIDS Bow Valley events, volunteer program, and key messaging around prevention of STIS, HIV/AIDS, and where to go for testing TIME: TBD
